Every app has an avatar in the corner, and behind it a menu: Account, Billing, Notifications. In most kits those items go nowhere.
In Monokit 1.1 they went nowhere too. Version 1.2 fixes that.
Pages made of blocks
The demo app now has Account, Billing and Notifications pages. Each one is put together from blocks you can also use on their own: profile and danger zone from the settings block, sessions and devices, the usage meter, payment methods with billing history, and the notifications list.
That was the test I set myself. If a block can't sit on a real page next to three others, it's a screenshot, not a component.
Eleven new blocks
- Sign in, with a magic link and a passkey option, and forgot and reset password.
- Notifications: a bell with a popover, and the full list. The bell clears when you read the list.
- Activity feed, product cards, a shopping cart and a blog post.
- Usage meter, payment methods, and sessions and devices.
- Loading skeletons that match the screens they stand in for.
That takes the kit to 32 blocks. About 80 more sit on the backlog.
If you bought it
Run git pull. CHANGELOG.md in the repo lists what changed, and every release from now on shows up on the Monokit page.
The avatar menu finally leads somewhere.
